Field Trip in-a-Box

Order a complete class-sized Field Trip, packed in a box, mailed directly to you!
$185/Box, serves a class of up to 29 students.

Scholarships for Field Trips in-a-Box are SOLD OUT for 2022-2023.



Box Contents: 29 sets of supplies for individual projects as listed, 1 for each student + teacher. Also includes virtual access to video lessons, tours, instructions, and a Teacher Guide.

Choose your Arboretum Field Trip in-a-Box: Use the filters below to select a box for your class(es).

Shipping & Timing: Each Box has date options for when Boxes will ship out of the Arboretum. Plan accordingly and allow an additional 4 business days from the date of shipping. Delivery is limited to the continental US. For delivery to states other than MN, WI, IA, SD, or ND, an additional $20 shipping fee will be assessed.

    Supplies: Each Box has supplies for 29 students + teacher, and are intended as 1 set per student. Order enough Boxes to cover all intended students (example: 50 students = order 2 Boxes). 

    • If you have fewer than 29 students, you may divide extras among your class.
    • If you have more than 29 students, order more boxes so that each student has their own set of supplies.
    • Boxes ship to only one address, they cannot go to individual student homes. If students are learning remotely, you can arrange a pickup date/time for students to gather their supplies, or perhaps distribute in tandem timing with the school lunch.

    Pay for your Field Trip in-a-Box We accept Credit Cards, Checks or Purchase Orders. Payment must be received one week prior to the requested ship date, earlier is preferred. If payment is not received one week prior to requested ship date, it will move to the next available ship date. Checks should be written to MLA.     The best chance of being enrolled in a sold out class is to add your name to the waitlist. Click the "waitlist" button or link next to the class and complete the form. There is no obligation to register if a spot opens. If the waitlist shows enough demand, additional sessions may be added.
