The Bee Center, Learning Center, Green Play Yard, and Under the Oak remain closed to the public. These spaces are primarily used for Registered Youth Program participants. As such, our first priority is to protect the health and safety of program participants, who are primarily children between the ages of 3-12.  Though many adults are now fully vaccinated, children under 12 do not yet have the benefit of this protection. We will continue to follow the University’s guidance for youth programs. In program spaces for children, we will limit public access and follow mandatory masking guidance to protect children from the transmission of COVID-19.

We are working towards the safe reopening of parts of the Bee Center, Learning Center, Green Play Yard, and Under the Oak to the public. Thank you for your cooperation with distancing and masking requirements meant to keep children and other unvaccinated people safe in these spaces.

Please remain on designated paths and respect social distancing guidelines including public health best practices for the safety of all. Scooters, skateboards, hammocks and inline skates are not allowed anywhere on the grounds. Strollers and wagons are allowed.

*Dogs are only allowed with a dog-added membership. Then, members with a dog-added membership can visit the Dog Commons during normal business hours. Service dogs are always welcome at the Arb, but all other dogs are not allowed in our buildings or grounds.

Highway 41 Road Closure

MN Highway 41 will be closed from 82nd Street to MN Highway 5 starting July 6. This construction will not affect anyone traveling to the Arboretum’s main gate using Hwy 5 or coming from the north on Hwy 41. If you are traveling to the Arboretum’s main gatehouse from the east, make sure to use Hwy 5 (not US 212). If you’re traveling from the south on Hwy 41, please follow the posted detour signs.

Directions to Farm at the Arb

The entrance to Farm at the Arb on 82nd Street is still open. To access it, you’ll want to take Century Blvd, which is one stoplight east of the intersection of Hwy 5 and Hwy 41. Go south on Century Blvd until you reach a T at 82nd St. Turn right on 82nd, cross Hwy 41 (this intersection is open) and continue on 82nd St. The entrance to Farm at the Arb will be on your right.
