AppleHouse

Welcome to the AppleHouse

Just 1.5 miles west of the main Arboretum entrance on Highway 5, the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum AppleHouse is an iconic seasonal destination, featuring Minnesota-grown apples, including varieties grown at the Arboretum’s nearby Horticultural Research Center.

Many of the University of Minnesota’s introduced apple varieties are for sale, along with gourmet packaged foods, frozen pies, pastries, fudge, gifts and — in the fall — pumpkins, squash and gourds, also grown at the Arboretum. While supplies last, the AppleHouse also offers delicious Goldy’s Smokehouse meats, ice cream and Bee Lab honey from the University of Minnesota College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Science (CFANS).

A new Apple House is on its way!

Work is underway to build Betty's Apple House just down the road from our current location, currently scheduled to open for the 2027 apple season. This new space will be more than just a market — it will be a place to learn, taste and connect with Minnesota’s rich agricultural heritage. Learn more about the new space and how we are Building a Better Arboretum
