Celebrate the vibrant beauty of autumn at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum! From whimsical scarecrows to an extraordinary pumpkin display, fall is bursting with creativity, color and seasonal charm.

Included with general daily admission, which is free for members and ages 15 and younger and $20-$25 for non-members ages 16 and older. Tickets must be reserved in advance of your visit to guarantee admission.

Hello, Scarecrows!

Starting Sept. 18, stroll through delightful displays of scarecrows crafted by Arboretum staff, artists and visitors alike around the theme “Connecting People, Plants and the Planet.”  Don’t miss Scarecrow Hill, where the Arboretum’s Horticulture Team creates dozens of playful and imaginative characters. Wander past the charming Pumpkin House, marvel at magnificent scarecrows handcrafted by community members, and spot giant round straw bales playfully decorated by Arboretum staff! 

Bachman’s Scarecrow Showdown

Which Bachman’s store has made the most creative scarecrow? Each of the six Bachman’s locations brings a unique creation to the garden — and you get to vote for your favorite! Cast your vote and help crown this year’s champion.

Calling Crafters and Creators! 

Feeling inspired? Visitors and members are invited to join the fun by creating a scarecrow of your own for display at the Arboretum. Register by Sept. 10 to participate and don't forget the theme, "Connecting People, Plants and the Planet."
