Do I need a ticket even if I'm a member?
Yes. Timed-entry tickets are required for all visitors, including Arboretum members. Reserve your tickets
Do I need both a Glass Pumpkin Patch ticket and an Arboretum admission ticket?
No. Your Arboretum Glass Pumpkin Patch ticket serves as your admission ticket to both the event and the Arboretum. No separate admission ticket is required.
What is included with my ticket?
Your ticket includes:
- Admission to the Arboretum Glass Pumpkin Patch
- Live glass-blowing demonstrations
- All-day access to the Arboretum grounds on your ticketed day
Are tickets sold per car or per person?
Tickets are sold per person, not per vehicle.
Do children need tickets?
Yes. Children 15 years and younger receive free admission, but must have a ticket.
When is Opening Night? What is the price?
Opening Night is Thursday, Sept. 17 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. The cost is $14 for members and $30 for non-members. The ticket includes early access to the patch and one drink ticket.
Are my tickets refundable? Can I reschedule?
Tickets are non-refundable. If your plans change, you may reschedule by calling 612-301-6775 no later than 5 p.m. the day before your scheduled visit, subject to availability.

As a member, how many people can I bring with me to the patch?
Quantity for complimentary Arboretum Glass Pumpkin event tickets are based on your membership level.

Where will I find this event?
The 2026 Arboretum Glass Pumpkin Patch will be held at the Farm at the Arb.

Which Arboretum entrance should I use?
Enter through the Farm at the Arb entrance gate at 3210 W. 82nd St., Chanhassen. Show your ticket to the gate attendant.
If you have a general admission ticket to the Arboretum for the day, you can enter the Farm at the Arb on Peter C. Moe drive.
Can I arrive before my scheduled time?
Please arrive during your scheduled entry window. Event entry begins at 9:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Where will I park my car?
You will receive an email with car parking, arrival and access instructions a few days before your scheduled visit. Parking is available at the Farm at the Arb. Please follow event signage upon arrival. Accessible parking is also available.
Will there be shuttle bus service?
Maybe. If shuttle service is available between the Farm at the Arb and the main Arboretum grounds, details will be included in the email you receive a few days before your scheduled visit. Otherwise, you may use the main Arboretum entry and then drive or walk on Three Mile Drive to Peter C. Moe Drive.
How can I get to the main Arboretum after visiting the Farm?
After visiting the Glass Pumpkin Patch, drive from Peter C. Moe Drive to Three-Mile Drive.
Can I leave the event and return to the main Arboretum?
Yes. Your ticket will admit you to the Arboretum for the day.
Visiting the Event
Are glass-blowing demonstrations included with admission?
Yes. Live glass-blowing demonstrations are included with your event admission. They begin 30 minutes after the Patch opens and conclude 30 minutes prior to close — two demonstrations per hour. A full schedule will be posted on the website closer to the event.
Is the event indoors or outdoors?
The Arboretum Glass Pumpkin Patch is an outdoor event located on the lawn at the Farm at the Arb.
Is the event accessible?
The walking route is generally wheelchair and stroller accessible. Some grassy lawn areas may be more difficult to navigate.
What buildings at the Farm will be open?
The Tashjian Bee & Pollinator Discovery Center will be open during the event.
Where are restrooms located at the Farm?
Restrooms are available in the Tashjian Bee & Pollinator Discovery Center and the Red Barn.
How long can I stay at the Arboretum?
Admission includes access to the Arboretum grounds until 7 p.m. Arboretum buildings close at 6 p.m.
Shopping
Will shopping baskets be available?
Yes. Shopping baskets will be available throughout the event.
Can someone help me carry my purchases?
Yes. If you need assistance transporting your purchases to your vehicle, please ask one of our volunteers.
Can I store my purchases while I continue visiting the Arboretum?
Yes. After you make your purchase, we can hold your purchase for the remainder of the day.
While shopping, we can hold unpaid merchandise for one hour if you need to leave the Patch. After that time, merchandise will be returned to the display area.
Will artwork be available after the event?
Glass artwork is available only during the Arboretum Glass Pumpkin Patch, Sept. 17–20, 2026. Inventory is restocked daily, but quantities are limited.
If there is any inventory left of the Glass Pumpkins, they will be available in the Gift & Garden Store for the same price and with no member discount.
What is the price range of the artwork?
Artwork prices range from $45 to $300.
Additional Information
Will food be available?
Yes. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Summer Kitchen at the Farm at the Arb. The grilling menu will be posted soon.
Rootstock at the Oswald Visitor Center will also have a full menu available.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Debit card, credit card and Apple Pay are the preferred payment methods. We do accept cash and checks.
Are pets allowed?
As with the Arboretum policy, only service animals are permitted.
Can I visit the AppleHouse during my visit?
Yes. The AppleHouse will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily during the event.

The AppleHouse is located outside the Arboretum grounds and requires a short drive from the Farm at the Arb.
Can I visit the Gift & Garden Store?
Yes. The Gift & Garden Store will be open until 6 p.m. each day. All proceeds from purchases support the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
