(Ages 9-11) Wild About Wildlife Half-Day Camp

$175 member/$195 non-member, includes Arboretum admission and project supplies 

HALF-DAY camp sessions are not available as a part of a full day option, and piecing camps together is not recommended. Staff will not be available for lunch hour care or to provide transportation between camp locations.

Special Guest: Live reptiles from The Reptile Experience! Become a wildlife biologist on the hunt for signs of animal and insect life at the Arboretum using nets, microscopes, binoculars and homemade bug vacuums! Make new discoveries about adaptation and behavior through group games and eye-opening demonstrations.

  • Animals are masters of camouflage! Learn about the tricks they use to hide in plain sight.
  • Create animal tracks, observe scat and mix seed bombs to attract new animal visitors.
  • Dive deep into the world of insects and suit up like a beekeeper to get an up-close look inside a honey bee hive!
  • Hold a snake, pet a tortoise and get an up-close look at live reptiles and other surprise guests of the animal kingdom!

Arboretum entry instructions

Print and complete the Day Camp Gate Pass form that will be sent to you by email from the Camp Coordinator before camp begins. Show your completed form to the gate attendant to receive limited 15-minute admission for Day Camp drop-off and pick-up only. If you intend to stay at the Arboretum on the same day as your child’s Day Camp for longer than 15 minutes, advance tickets are recommended to ensure your admission to the Arboretum and should be presented to the gate attendant. Make reservations to visit.
