Immerse yourself in the role of a wildlife biologist where you'll delve into the diverse ecosystems of the Arboretum to explore the intriguing world of animals. Equipped with nets, microscopes, binoculars, and homemade bug vacuums, you'll explore the lives of creatures hidden all around us! Engage in group games, eye-opening demonstrations, and activities to deepen your understanding of animal adaptations and behavior.
- Become a master of camouflage as you discover and practice the tricks animals use to hide in plain sight.
- Get up close with nature's hidden habitats by visiting our Bee and Pollinator Center and going pond dipping for macro-invertibrates in far-flung ecosystems within the Arboretum.
- Sharpen your detective skills as you uncover the mysteries of the wild, learning to identify animals by the tracks they leave and even the scat they drop!
Print and complete the Day Camp Gate Pass form that will be sent to you by email from the Camp Coordinator before camp begins. Show your completed form to the gate attendant to receive limited 15-minute admission for Day Camp drop-off and pick-up only. If you intend to stay at the Arboretum on the same day as your child’s Day Camp for longer than 15 minutes, advance tickets are recommended to ensure your admission to the Arboretum and should be presented to the gate attendant.
