Get ready to observe and explore how some of nature’s smallest creatures have inspired some of our greatest technologies! You’ll discover something new every day through inventive adventures that blend core Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) skills to design and create your very own nature-inspired inventions. 

  • Build Your World: Using whatever you can find — sticks, cardboard, LEGOs, and your unstoppable imagination– you’ll create your own mini communities inspired by nature’s greatest builders.
  • Light Up Your Life: Explore the secret powers of nature as you experiment with light, motion and energy in clever new ways.
  • Invent the Impossible: Face thrilling challenges where your ideas take flight, your teamwork shines, and your inventions come to life!

Arboretum entry instructions

Print and complete the Day Camp Gate Pass form that will be sent to you by email from the Camp Coordinator before camp begins. Show your completed form to the gate attendant to receive limited 15-minute admission for Day Camp drop-off and pick-up only. If you intend to stay at the Arboretum on the same day as your child’s Day Camp for longer than 15 minutes, advance tickets are recommended to ensure your admission to the Arboretum and should be presented to the gate attendant. Make reservations to visit.
