Program location: Margot Picnic Shelter B (across from Learning Center)
Bring your spirit of adventure and teamwork as we use hiking, swimming, and biking treks to connect us to the natural world throughout the Arboretum and beyond.
- Develop wilderness survival skills while building different shelter types, collecting clean water, preparing a campfire, and creating handy camp crafts.
- Complete team challenges that test these new skills with adventure games and mock survival scenarios.
- Explore the newly connected Arboretum bike path while trekking to nearby parks for swimming and time for exploration.
Requirements for participation: All campers must be able to bike 8 miles to be eligible, and must be able to swim. Campers will need to bring a properly functioning bike and helmet on one or more of the days (registrants will be contacted prior to camp with the date of “bring your bike and helmet” day).
Print and complete the Day Camp Gate Pass form that will be sent to you by email from the Camp Coordinator before camp begins. Show your completed form to the gate attendant to receive limited 15-minute admission for Day Camp drop-off and pick-up only. If you intend to stay at the Arboretum on the same day as your child’s Day Camp for longer than 15 minutes, advance tickets are recommended to ensure your admission to the Arboretum and should be presented to the gate attendant. Make reservations to visit.
