Activities and Concepts
Bring science to life as students take a closer look—literally!—using real microscopes to explore the incredible inner world of plants.
- Zoom in on a variety of flowers, stems, roots, and leaves to uncover the hidden structures that help plants grow, thrive, and survive.
- Discover how plants make their own food and the amazing jobs each plant part plays in photosynthesis.
- Follow the path of the sun’s energy as it travels from plant… to pizza!
- Connect the dots between plants, food chains, and our everyday lives. Older students will also use observations and visual evidence to identify, compare and classify plant structures and adaptations.
- Each student plants their own microgreens to grow and taste at home!
