Additional Admission Details
For Gold Access Members
Gold, Gold Plus and Giving Society members can access the Arboretum without an advance ticket any day of the week with their membership cards — except during special ticketed events, such as Winter Lights. Use your membership card barcode in our contactless Gold Access lane.
For Members
Members must create an account online and sign in to receive tickets at the member price.
- Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays: Advance admission tickets are recommended to reserve your spot as parking capacity is limited at the Arboretum.
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: On these days, Solo, Duo and Duo+2 members can present their membership card for admission with no advance ticket needed.
- Members should always bring their membership card to access the Arboretum for member discounts and other benefits.
Check out our step-by-step guide to creating your account. If you have questions about your membership, call 612-301-1257 or email [email protected].
For Reciprocal Garden Network Members
Reciprocal Garden Network members receive complimentary admission for up to two reciprocal members, but must call 612-301-6775 to book tickets.
For Bikers and Walkers
Bicyclists and walkers do not need advance admission tickets, but members should always bring their membership cards. Non-member bicyclists and walkers pay $15 at the gate for ages 16 and older (free for ages 15 and younger). No cash accepted. Bicyclists should enter through the main/center lane at the gatehouse.
For Photographers
Depending on your needs we provide either session permits or an Annual Photographer Membership. A permit or membership is required for professional photography sessions that are not part of a private event taking place at the Arboretum.
For Groups
- Group admission tickets (10 or more adults) are available by calling 612-301-6775.
- Group tour packages (10 or more adults) are available by calling 612-301-4353.
- Businesses, organizations and care centers with special memberships should call 612-301-6775 to book tickets.
For Dog Owners
Service dogs are welcome at the Arboretum. Other dogs are not allowed, with the exception of a member-only area called the Dog Commons, however this area is currently impacted by a road closure. Regretfully, dogs (with the exception of service animals) will not be able to visit the Arboretum during this time. We have closed the road and main walking trail from the Andrus Learning Center to overflow parking during construction. The closure will run through project completion in 2027. Walkers can still use Wood Duck Trail to hike to the Dog Commons area.
