Welcome spring at the Arboretum
The Arboretum is bursting with spring blooms! Visitors can expect to see spring ephemerals in addition to our seasonal tulip, hyacinth and daffodil displays. Check out Garden Highlights, updated weekly, to see what's currently blooming on the grounds.
Things to Do
With so many events and fresh blooms, the Arboretum is a busy place this time of year.
- Hit the trails. With more than 12 miles of trails, there is no better way to embrace spring at the Arboretum than on foot. Attend a half-hour Plant Walk at 11 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays.
- Shop for seasonal goodies at the Gift & Garden Store including gifts for Mom, Dad and grads.
- Attend one (or all) of our events. See below for highlights.
- Stop in the Reedy or Cafe galleries to see local art on display.
- Have a picnic! Purchase food at the Eatery and take it to one of our favorite picnic spots or bring your own.
- Walk the Dakota Sacred Hoop Walk to experience Dakota history and culture.
- Starting on May 2 visitors can participate in drop-in Discovery Booths open between 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays. Sprout Packs and scavenger hunts are also available from the Membership and Information desks.
