The Grace B. Dayton Wildflower Garden is a showcase for the increasingly endangered native plants of the Upper Midwest. Among the many native blooms found in the garden are Virginia bluebell, trillium, cardinal flower and the Minnesota state flower: the showy lady's slipper. A population of dwarf trout lily, a plant listed on the federal endangered species list, is also preserved here.
