Burton and Virginia Myers Education Center

The Myers Education Center is the newest building in the heart of the Farm at the Arb. Its design ties in with the iconic red barn and the sustainability-focused Tashjian Bee and Pollinator Discovery Center. The Myers Education Center is the headquarters for Arboretum Adult Education and the statewide Master Gardener program. It also provides a dedicated venue to engage the public in education outreach programs around home gardening, focusing on topics such as sustainable gardening, pollinators and climate change.

Call for Artist(s)

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum invites artists to submit proposals and qualifications for an aesthetically pleasing, rooster-themed, weathervane to be placed atop the Burton and Virginia Myers Education Center.

The rooster weathervane will occupy the south-central part of the Myers Education Center directly over the building’s main entrance and serve as a wayfinding element directing people to the front door of the building.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. July 1, 2024.
