Pick up your order with serving and reheating instructions at either Coalition (Edina) or Red Sauce Rebellion (Excelsior) between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16.

Can I enter a maximum bid on a specific auction item? 
Yes! The GiveSmart system can automatically bid up to a designated amount for you. GiveSmart will bid incrementally up to the amount designated as long as someone else places a bid against you. If no one bids against your auto bid, the price remains the same. Here are step-by-step directions to place an auto bid:

  • Click the item of interest 
  • Click the Auto Bid tab
  • Enter in the maximum amount you would like to bid
  • Click Bid. 

Note: When two bids are placed for the same amount, the bid placed first based on the timestamp wins. Timestamps are set when the initial bid is placed, for auto bids this is when a maximum was set not when the system prompted the bid to win.

What if I have a question on the day of the Gala, (Thursday June 17), is there a phone number I can call? 
Yes! On Gala day, Thursday, June 17, staff will answer questions from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. The Gala phone line is 612-625-9437.

How do I pick up the catering I purchased from Red Sauce Rebellion/Coalition? Do I need a receipt?
You can pick up your catering at Red Sauce Rebellion or Coalition (wherever you selected as your pick-up location) on Wednesday, June 16 any time between 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Go inside to the host stand (or bar) and mention your name. No receipt is needed. Enjoy!

What is a hashtag? Does the Gala have one?
A hashtag is a keyword preceded by a pound sign (#). The pound sign turns any word or group of words that directly follows into a searchable link. Hashtags allow you to organize content and track discussion topics online based on those keywords and it's a fun way to build community around a common interest. You can use hashtags on several social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. 

The 2021 Virtual Gala has a hashtag is #MNArbGala2021. Be sure to share photos of your 2021 Gala experience on social media with the hashtag. After posting, you can click on the hashtag to view other attendees’ posts!

When does the auction close, and how do I pick up the items I won? 
The auction will open on Monday, June 14, and close on Friday, June 18 at 5:00 p.m. There are three in-person opportunities to pick up your items in front of the Snyder building at the Arboretum:

  • Monday, June 21 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 22 from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 24 from 1:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

What will the funds raised at the Gala be used for?
Funds will be used for two purposes:

  1. To support the Arboretum’s general operations, which will be invested into the Arboretum’s 1,200 acres of gardens, plant and tree collections model landscapes and natural areas.
  2. To support the 2021 Fund-a-Need (FAN) of equipment for gardens and grounds. Your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Toro Corporation in much-needed equipment for the Arboretum.

When will I receive the link to watch the Gala program? What kind of technology do I need? 
The link to the Gala Program will also be on our Gala webpage. You can watch the program on any device that is connected to the internet: a cell phone, tablet, or computer. You can even stream to a smart TV via a laptop or cell phone app. Please test your tech before the program! Please call 612-625-9437 starting at 1:00 p.m. on June 17 with questions.

When will the auction open for guests to start bidding?
The auction will open on Monday, June 14. The auction will close on Friday, June 18 at 5:00 p.m.

Do I need a physical ticket for the Gala?
No paper or electronic tickets are required.
