Scholarship List Fall 2020 - Arboretum Field Trip in-a-Box Classroom Activity Sets

Arboretum Field Trip in-a-Box Classroom Activity Sets will be based on our popular Arboretum Fall-season Field Trip & Plantmobile themes and provide Arboretum style hands-on plant experiences this fall no matter whether you are in-person, on-line, or in a hybrid learning model.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACTIVITY SETS*
*subject to change before August 26, 2020

Full Classroom set +live virtual interactive experience Scholarship

  • Benefit: Covers 100% of fees for one classroom set and corresponding virtual live add on.
  • Eligibility: >75% free and reduced lunch eligible schools 

Live Virtual Interactive add on Scholarship

  • Benefit: Covers 100% of the fee for the live virtual interactive experience when the classroom set and add on experience are booked together.
  • Eligibility: >30% free and reduced lunch eligible schools

Full Classroom set scholarships

  • Benefit: Covers 100% of the fee for enough kits to serve the entire grade level of your school 
  • Eligibility: >50% Free and Reduced Lunch

Steps to Applying Online

Steps to Applying Online

1. Browse Scholarships Above

  • Choose scholarship(s) for which your school qualifies. 
  • (OPTIONAL) Select a second choice scholarship in case your first choice is full.

2. Book an Arboretum School Program Online
 Create or sign in to your user account and reserve your preferred Field Trip/Plantmobile online

3. Complete Scholarship Request Form

  • Form below will be activated beginning August 26, 2020, noon
  • Only completed forms will be considered for scholarships
  • Scholarship requests cannot be filled by phone or email. 
  • *Complete ONE form per each scholarship requested*
  • See HELPFUL INFORMATION NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE REQUEST, below

 4. Receive a reply from the Arboretum Office

  • Completed requests will be notified of status within one week.
  • Approved scholarships will be applied to the reserved School Program. 
  • Those not approved will be given the option to keep or release the School Program

  • School name & city
     
  • Requesting teacher's name & phone number
     
  • Date/title/order # of requested Field Trip
    see step 2 in STEPS TO APPLY ONLINE, above
     
  • Your school's Free & Reduced Lunch %
     FIND YOUR SCHOOLS FREE & REDUCED LUNCH %
  1. Go to https://mndatamaps.web.health.state.mn.us/interactive/frpl.html 
  2. In the box on the top right hand corner of the map select schools (the third choice from the top). That will locate the schools on the Map of Minnesota.
  3. Zoom in to find your school and hover over the location dot of your school.

When the school location is hovered over, the free and reduced price lunch percent (total FRPL eligibility %) is shown in a box in lower left hand corner.
