Covid Safety Guidelines
for In-person Family Programs 2022

Updated 4/26/22 The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is committed to nurturing the health of the community and all who participate in our programming. We are continuously monitoring the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, and are making decisions about our operations based on the latest guidelines from the University of Minnesota, CDC, MN Department of Health, and the American Camp Association.

We take the guidance from these organizations very seriously and our first priority is keeping everyone safe. We are eager and excited to welcome you in-person to the Arboretum for Summer 2022! As always, we are constantly adapting to best practices for keeping participants and staff healthy, safe, and engaged while together at the Arboretum.

Current guidelines dictate the implementation of the following procedures in our Family programs, however, we will keep up-to-date on any revisions to these health and wellness recommendations, and adjust our plans as needed throughout the summer:

  1. Group sizes will be limited with most of the program to take place outdoors. Extra caution will be taken during any inside activity to minimize especially close contact with others.
  2. In compliance with University guidelines, program staff and participants will not be required to wear face coverings. Though masking is not required at this time, participants and staff are welcome to wear one and will be supported in doing what makes them most comfortable.
  3. Note: Due to the unpredictability of the virus, we reserve the right to cancel programs if needed, and will refund any prepaid program fees.

Covid-19 safety

Effective Thursday, May 12, 2022, masks are no longer required for classes at the Arboretum. As a community, it is important that we continue to respect and honor the decision of those who choose to wear a mask, recognizing the concerns of those who are immunocompromised or are taking steps to protect their families or others.
