
Join us for our third annual Bike the Arb event! The day will kick off with a 19.7K bike race, looping cyclists around Three-Mile Drive and out to the Farm at the Arb for three laps. Racers will enjoy the rolling terrain peppered with interesting flora and fauna as the route winds them through the Arboretum’s unique plant collections and specialty gardens.
Bikers of all ages and abilities will be challenged and thrilled by this beautiful course. Racers can go for their best time, or simply enjoy a unique bike experience at the Arboretum. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers.
Rules of the Road
The Three-Mile Drive will be closed to vehicles during the race but will reopen starting at 10 a.m. After the race, bikers are welcome to cruise on their bikes along any roadway in the Arboretum. Bicyclists can only use Three-Mile Drive to explore the grounds. They are not permitted on Three-Mile Walk.

Q. Can I stay and bike more after the race or enjoy the Arb gardens?
A. Yes. Bicyclists can bike on any roadway at the Arboretum. Park your bike in a bike rack for close up views of our gardens along our foot paths and sidewalks.
Q. Can my family come and watch the race?
A. Yes, but everyone that enters the Arboretum must have a general daily admission ticket. Admission is free for members, $15 for non-members ages 16 and older; free for ages 15 and younger. Race participants do not need an additional admission ticket.
Q. Will Three-Mile Drive be open to cars during Bike the Arb Day?
A. The Three-Mile Drive will be closed during the 20K road race from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and will reopen afterwards.
