Whether you're visiting with your family and friends, attending a class or event, or looking for a quiet respite, you've come to the right place. Here's more information to help you plan for a memorable day in the gardens. 


Tickets

  • Ages 16 and older with advance tickets — $20
  • New! Ages 16 and older pay-at-the-gate (available only if parking capacity allows) — $25
  • Ages 15 and younger — Free 
  • Indigenous peoples — Free (Call 612-301-6775 to make a reservation.)

Things to Know

To get the most out of your visit to the Arboretum, check out the following things to know:

  • Check and dress for the weather! Most of the exploring will be outdoors. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes for the walking paths. 
  • For those visitors with advance tickets, plan to arrive within your 30-minute entry window. There is no limit on the duration of your visit while the grounds are open.
  • Check our hours of operation and watch for special announcements on our website. 
  • Parking is free and available in various lots throughout the grounds.  
  • See what's in bloom with Garden Highlights. You can also locate a specific plant with our Plant Finder.
  • The Arboretum's Dog Commons On-Leash Trails are a member-only benefit and the only area at the Arboretum where dogs are allowed. However, service dogs are permitted in all areas of the Arboretum.
