Learn the plant to plate story about where our food comes from and how food is grown to meet the needs of the future. Sample Minnesota-grown grains, then shop at the Pop Up Gift & Garden Store with exclusive Farm at the Arb Merchandise, and Minnesota Apples for sale, Beer Garden, and Food Trucks! Get to know a farmer and learn how they are better using plant research and technologies to feed our communities and the world while lowering environmental impact. On September 14th, help us honor our agricultural past, acknowledge our present and envision the future at the Farm at the Arb Field Festival.

Pick up map at the Main Gate/Welcome Table upon arrival and return to the Welcome Table to turn it in for a prize!
Climb Aboard! What is it like to plant & harvest? Explore pieces of machinery and farming instruments that are driving the future of agriculture.
Connect to the plant-to-plate story and discover where our food comes from- including how agriculture is changing to meet the needs of our hungry planet. Visit the Learning Lab and explore the life of a farmer- their day to day reality and creative innovations to grow our food. Drop-in activities will be scheduled throughout the day including honey tasting, make & take opportunities and more!

Let your skillet fly! One at a time, contestants use an under-hand motion to throw a nine-inch steel skillet–from behind a designated foul line –as far as possible, along a straight line (marked by a tape measure). Registration is at the Welcome/Information Table.
